September 4th, 2009--the most remarkable day for Muslim students in this land of Curtin, as it was our first ever solat jum'at conducted in campus..

Well, actually this last minute call was made to cater those who did not have transport since the bus allocated for friday prayer trip was canceled.. (the same issue that goes on time by time n the same reason used for sure dari dulu lagi)..

Hence, we plan to conduct solat jum'at behind the GP402 building, which seems to be the most suitable location in campus.. Alhamdullillah, thanks to Allah, The Most Gracious and Merciful One, somehow Dr. Adeline who is the Head of Registrar saw the committee preparing for friday prayer.. fearing that there will be not enough shaded area for the students, she made a request to the Student Service for us to shift to the shaded garden area in front of the Cafetaria.. (well, of coz la non-muslim students usha pelik je kat ktorg..tonggang t'balik ramai2 kan??..haha).. tapi Alhamdulillah laa, started of with about 12 peoples, final count of about 60 students with the mix of local and international students have participated in for the Friday Prayer.. (cukup syarat sah).. n Alhamdulillah for the most important thing, we, muslim students managed to have our own first friday prayer in campus with every of pillars [rukun and syarat sah] of the i'badah maintained.. thanks to Allah.. without Him, we're surely could do nothing..

Well, aku sebenarnya agak sedih la dengan benda2 ni semua.. kesian dengan certain saudara2 seagama aku kat Curtin ni yang x dapat nak perform solat jum'at sebab isu yang x habis2 ni.. (atleast aku still ada alternative lain nak pergi masjid, yang kesiannya kat students yg X ada alternative transport ni laa).. n aku turut kesian gak kat new students yang still terkapai2 nk establish life di tempat orang ni.. sebabnya, dorg ni still X faham cabaran yang menanti dorg while surviving in this land of survival.. (last 2 weeks before that, similar probs happened to us.. but at that time, bus is provided only for going to mosque.. so, we have to find other alternatives for going back.. n 1 of this new student said to me, "dalam The Book, it is clearly stated that every student has their own right.. tapi, kenapa kita as minority kat Curtin ni dinafikan hak kita??".. aku just diam je at that time.. sebabnya aku susah untuk explain condition ktorg ni as muslim students kat Curtin ni.. (n as minority for sure)... terlalu banyak issues untuk diungkit kembali.. (click kat sini untuk tahu lebih lanjut psl certain issue2 lama)..

n biasa la kan, bila perkara2 camni happened, we tend to point the mistakes to everyone else.. tapi, at the end of khutbah, my Curtin Islamic Society (CIS) President tambah sikit speech dalam khutbah dia.. (sdey woo.. syahdu gile dengar dia cakap)~.. (speech kat bawah ni aku copy dari email dia)..

Be strong, and stay positive in the time of hardships. I've made a mistake to accuse and point fingers, to other people when it is our responsiblities to take care of our own obligation and not to put our religious obligation on the hand of other people. Last tution free week ive spent the whole week studying almost all the enactment of higher institution in malaysia:

Extract of the points obtained from "UNIVERSITIES AND UNIVERSITY COLLEGES ACT 1971 ":

10) The objects and functions of the Student Representative Council shall be:

(b) to organize and supervise, subject to the direction of the Vice-Chancellor,

student welfare facilities in the University including recreational facilities,

spiritual and religious activities, and the supply of meals and refreshments;

All of the religious welfare services will be subjected to what the policy of the University specify, hence the only way to solve the problem is to standalone and opt for our very own solution. To that we require everyone to stand strong and be alert in anything that shall happen. Join in the effort in sustaining those who are still weak especially juniors,

over here in Curtin and make dua for the continous well being of future muslim leadership committee and commnity insyaAllah.

well, he's right.. we can't simply put our responsibilities on the others (non-muslim) tentang hal2 agama ni while it is supposed to be ours.. kita kena stand by our own feet.. and ni adalah salah satu cara yg baik yang dapat kita lakukan utk selesaikn masalah yang kita hadapi ni..

apa2 pun, thanks sangat2 kepada sesiapa yg terlibat either secara direct or indirect dlm pengurusan solat ini..
